To get featured in a video, click on the following link: https://www.asianpaints.com/pro/RoyalePlay.html Project: Brinda House Typology: Stand-alone House Location: Coimbatore, Tamilnadu Design Firm: Arun & Associates, Coimbatore Plot Area: 5,000 sq.ft Built-up Area: 4,200 sq.ft Communicating the idea of abstraction, this residence is conceived as a simple, cubical parametric façade with volumes that melds its shape and design with nature. Designed on an “Outside-In” concept, the home is planned as a sequence of spaces that would slowly reveal themselves in transition. Each space is designed as an amalgam of manmade and natural elements, characterised by an emphasis on essential elements such as materiality and light. Enhancing the proximity to nature, the public spaces flow into the private garden outside by means of a smooth material transition and the creation of transparent barriers using floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors. Opening of these doors enables the crafting of a single large seamless space that can be used for celebratory events. The Royale Play International Designer Collection renders a minimalistic, muted palette that echoes the simplicity of the exteriors and interiors, marked by an intense contrast created between the white walls, the white ash wood and the black riverbed frosted granite flooring. The exteriors boast a raw, concrete look. The interiors are designed to communicate the idea of abstraction that is reinforced by the skylights in the ceiling. The skylight above the open Sanctum Sanctorum (Pooja) washes the wall with ample light that adorns the deities. This wall sports the Royale Play Archi Concrete in distressed effect, which vividly elevates the earthy material into an expression of high design with the boldness of unfinished stone. This plaster possesses an extremely soft yet vibrant effect. Very Italian, this is a rough finish that brings to mind the character of cement. A cantilevered staircase wall painted in white and beige tones from the Asian Paints Royale Play Designer Collection, which is a mineral plaster coat in powder, selected to ensure an excellent workability. It brings privacy to the otherwise open dining and the space underneath doubles up for storage. The first floor is punctuated by a small court lined with pebbles, adorned in a white palette. Conceived as a simple, cubical parametric façade with volumes that bring together the shape, design and structure, an overall attempt has been made to efficiently use the site, its orientation, and spatial planning.
The most anticipated big budget project is finally here! #Foyer area: As we enter the house we have a small foyer which welcomes you to Mr.Arun’s house. The entrance door has a custom made carving which depicts the 4 family members who live there. #Living area: As we step into the house from the foyer we land in the living area. Here we have a wide Tv unit which has complete lacquered glass back panel and some niches to display artifacts. On the other side of the tv unit, we have a Pooja unit and this is so beautiful. There is a separate area for displaying a peaceful Buddha statue. The false ceiling has a nice circular shape with the same pattern of CNC designs and we have provided ample amount of lights throughout. On the way to the kitchen we a vanity unit with a designer mirror and a wash basin with 2 drawers to store their towels and handwash. The entrance of the kitchen has a display unit with complete see through glasses and we have given glass ledges to place the artifacts. #Modular Kitchen: This is a huge kitchen with complete provision for storage.Bright red with white is the color combination here. This kitchen is been divided into the wet and dry area. Dry area for baking and wet area for cooking Indian dishes. We have a breakfast counter followed by an open shelf which is attached to a tall unit and next to that we made a provision to fit the refrigerator and on top we have lofts. Chimney hob and cutlery set, bottle pull out tandem boxes and a lot of cabinets are placed accordingly. All of them are accessed using the G-profile handles. #Guest Bedroom: We are entering a guest bedroom now which looks bold and beautiful we have a cute coat here with storage below and a lovely headboard which is extended to the side tables on either side. The top panel of the headboard has cute CNC cutting with autumn leaf shape which looks very interesting. The wardrobes also look interesting because of its color combination and the handles. We have white wardrobes and some orange shelves sealed in between to highlight the unit and the handles also play a major role because of the color and shape. Our clients wanted an extra wardrobe so we designed another unit with sliding doors and this one is really unique because we have used fabric for a design element which is sandwiched by a transparent glass to make it highlighting. In this video, we are at our completed site Gundecha Trillium, Kandivali (East), Mumbai.
It's a newly constructed highrise apartment with modern amenities provided by the builder.
We have designed this entire apartment of 1200 sq.ft carpet area in "3D" first, to visualize the color scheme, space planning & design so that client comes to know how it will look after all the work done.
After making some minor changes in designs, we have executed the work as per the design.
Every room has attached balcony like Living Room, Kitchen, and three bedrooms. There is no common bathroom in the apartment, every room has a separate attached toilet and bathroom.
There is a large space for dining are for 6 to 8 people with crockery unit and wash basin.
Pooja room is also provided in the passage area between all three bedrooms.
