DIY fairy house with lamp using jar

Hi. In this video I'm going to show you how I made a Fairy house with lamp. For making this fairy house I used one middle size jar, aluminium foil, hot glue and acrylic paint for the finishing touches of this fairy house. First you can chose jars big as you want to be your fairy house.. After that you apply one layer of paper clay on the jar, then you make the door, the windows and you arrange the rest of the finishing touches as the mushrooms, chimney, etc. For the shape of your roof you can use thin foil, and also for the shape of your mushrooms and chimney. And in the end when all is done you can paint it in the desired colors with acrylic paint. You can make the root to open, and inside you can put one lightening from cigarette lighter, or some other lighter. You can also hide money, keys etc. Materials: 1. DAS paper clay for modeling, https://www.amazon.com/DAS-Hardening-Modeling-Pound-387500/dp/B001GAP4YA 2. Aluminium foil for cooking https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminium_foil 3. Acrylic paint https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acrylic_paint 4. Hot glue. ❣DIY Faux Stones & Wood - Fairy House Jars❣

DIY Faux Stones & Wood - Fairy House Jars In this video tutorial I show you how I made a medium size fairy house using two jars, tin foil, hot glue, paper clay and watercolors. It’s fun to make and you can use it as candy jar for a candy bar, birthday party, thank you gift for a baby shower, baby room decoration, piggy bank, jewelry box, cookie jar and so on. You can turn it into a lamp also adding some battery operated LED candle lights Tools & Materials: Das modelling material - http://amzn.to/2r5FEHY Tin foil - http://amzn.to/2sOcY7K Watercolors - http://amzn.to/2rcBmTi Acrylic paint - http://amzn.to/2s8KaIZ Hot gun - http://amzn.to/2sO7EkF Fruit carving knife - http://amzn.to/2seNzqP Materials and tools: two empty jars with lids, aluminum foil, paper clay (the one that mentains its size when dry - I used “DAS modelling material” a great paper clay, but the secret is to water it a little and work it in your hand before you use it, to make it smoother), hot glue and water colors. (A lot of you asked me if you can use polymer clay on this kind of projects. Of course you can use polymer clay but for bigger jars like the ones I used in this video you will have to use a lot of polymer clay and the whole project will become expensive. You will be able to save a lot of material using thin foil but still, I would recommend you to use paper clay.) Choose some jars and clean them with hot water and soap. Think about the shape of your fairy house. Start shaping some tin foil into your house roof. Cover it with tin foil and integrate the lid at the bottom. You can add multiple layers of foil untill you get the desired result. Glue the tin foil cap to the jar’s lid using hot glue. Cover the tin foil shape with a layer of paper clay. Draw the door and the windows on the jar and start adding clay around them building the walls. You don’t need to pay too much attention to details at this point. Let everything dry. Apply another layer of clay to create textures and details like door handles, roof chimney, stones or any detail that might give your fairy house a unique look. I made some stone textures for the walls and wood texture for the door and windows. If the clay doesn’t stick to the previous layer I recommend you to water the areas you want to work on. Also keep a water container near by to wet your hands and working utensils when they get sticky. Use water to achieve smooth and shiny surfaces. Paint the fairy house in the desired colors. If you use watercolors for this step I recommend you seal them in the end with varnish or regular hair spray. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Popular Videos: DIY Smurfs Mushroom House Jar - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdsupGjxCMU DIY Mushroom Fairy House Jars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4ipm0s6ZU8 Plastic Bottles Recycling Craft Idea - DIY Fairy House https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0iKIQZhx2E How to make an AWESOME Fairy Tree House https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP-KSxuYLCI ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So like, comment and subscribe to my channel for more videos https://www.youtube.com/c/CreativeMom?sub_confirmation=1 Connect with me on Facebook and Twitter https://www.facebook.com/CreativeMother https://twitter.com/DiaCreativeMom Let me know what you think in the comment section below. ❣DIY Smurfs Mushroom House Jar❣

DIY Smurfs Mushroom House Jar In this video tutorial I show you how we made a medium size smurfs mushroom house using a pickles jar, tin foil, hot glue, paper clay and paint. It’s fun to make and you can use it as candy jar for a candy bar, birthday party, thank you gift for a baby shower, baby room decoration, piggy bank, jewlery box, cooky jar and so on. (A lot of you asked me after my "DIY Mushroom Fairy House Jars" video if you can use polymer clay on this kind of projects. Of course you can use polymer clay but for a bigger jar like the one I used in this video you will have to use a lot of polymer clay and the whole project will become expensive. You will be able to save some material using thin foil but still. I would recommend to use paper clay. It's a lot cheaper and easy to work with) Choose a jar and clean it with hot water and soap. Think about the shape of your smurfs mushroom house. Start shaping some paper into your mushroom’s cap. Cover it with tinfoil and integrate the lid at the bottom. You can add multiple layers of foil untill you get the desired result. Also you can create volume by making rolls of paper and cover them with tinfoil. You can use those for shaping the bottom of the cap and also to make the chimney top. Glue the tinfoil cap to the jar’s lid using hot glue. Cover the tinfoil shape with a layer of clay. Draw the door and the windows on the jar and start adding clay around them building the walls. You don’t need to pay too much attention to details at this point. Let everything dry. ❣DIY Fairy Garden Log House Jar❣

DIY Fairy Garden Log House Jar In this video tutorial I show you how I made a medium sized fairy log house using a regular mason jar, tin foil, hot glue, paper clay and acrylic paint. It’s fun to make and you can use it as a decoration, secret hiding spot, or you can even turn it into a lamp by adding some battery operated LED candle lights. I will use mine for my fairy garden along side my other jar houses. Materials and tools: one empty jar with lid, aluminum foil, air dry paper clay (here is my video on making your own AIR DRY PAPER CLAY https://youtu.be/_Ef-U6aZEoI ), hot glue and watercolors. (A lot of you asked me if you can use polymer clay on this kind of projects. Of course you can use polymer clay but for bigger jars like the ones I used in this video you will have to use a lot of polymer clay and the whole project will become expensive. You will be able to save a lot of material using thin foil but still, I would recommend you to use air dry paper clay.) Choose a jar and clean it with hot water and soap. Think about the shape of your fairy log house. I used cardboard and tin foil for the tree bark. I glued them together using hot glue. I also made a chimney and a branch using a wire and tin foil. When I was satisfied with the basic shape of my log house I made the door and started applying clay. You can work in two layers if you don't think you can make the texture from the first layer you apply. If the clay doesn’t stick to the previous layer I recommend you to water the areas you want to work on. Also keep a water container near by to wet your hands and working utensils when they get sticky. Use water to achieve smooth and shiny surfaces. Paint the fairy house in the desired colors. You can use acrylic paint or watercolors. If you use watercolors for this step I recommend you seal them in the end with varnish or regular hair spray. I painted the lid using different shades of nail polish until it looked like some tree log rings. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Popular Videos: DIY Smurfs Mushroom House Jar - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fdsupGjxCMU DIY Fairy House with Attic using Two Jars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehZTdlyvSC0 DIY Faux Stones & Wood - Fairy House Jars - DIY Fairy House https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rMevG_i9uU How to make an AWESOME Fairy Tree House https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP-KSxuYLCI ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So like, comment and subscribe to my channel for more videos https://www.youtube.com/c/CreativeMom?sub_confirmation=1 Connect with me on Facebook and Twitter https://www.facebook.com/CreativeMother https://twitter.com/DiaCreativeMom Let me know what you think in the comment section below!
